NASC OFFERS THE PUBLIC AN EXPERIENCE OF INDIGENOUS CULTURE

Native American Student Council promotes Native American culture throughout Cache Valley. NASC provides a support group for Native American students, USU students, community organizations, and other USU clubs.

In a united setting, NASC engages in numerous activities. Their upcoming event is on Nov. 8 when hosting a catered reception after President of the Society of Indian Psychologist John Peregoy, PhD., gives a speech on the theme "Walk in Two Worlds," at 11:30 pm in the Taggert Student Center Sunburst Lounge, which is open to the public, students, alumni, and faculty/staff.

NASC meets Thursday at 8:00 pm. Refreshments, sometimes dinner, is provided. Membership is extended to non-Native Americans and non-USU students. "The more the merrier," said NASC Secretary Cassie Largo.
